With the help of Ms. Lam, English prep will focus on the Critical Reading and Writing components of the SAT test. The SAT Critical Reading component tests vocabulary, reasoning, and reading skills, which consists of two types of questions: Sentence Completion and Reading Comprehension. The SAT Writing component consists of an essay and multiple choice questions. The multiple choice portion of the Writing section addresses three types of questions: Sentence Errors, Improving Sentences, and Improving Paragraphs. For the essay portion you will learn how to write a persuasive essay by developing a point of view, supporting the point of view, using reasoning and examples from text, presenting ideas logically and using language precisely.

The math section will be led by Mr. Oishi.  From arithmetic word problems to descriptive statistics and data interpretation, you will be exposed to all concepts within the SAT math component.  The primary categories include Number and Operations, Algebra & Functions, Geometry & Measurement, Data Analysis, Statistics, & Probability.
