Parent Planning Workshop for class of 2015 This two hour workshop will be helpful either a standalone or as a compliment to the “All Things College Seminar.” Parent Planning is an introduction to the world of college selection, applications, the personal statement, testing and application timelines and an overview of financial aid deadlines and resources. Specifically we will cover: COLLEGE SELECTION: Where should my son/daughter apply? APPLICATIONS: University of California California State University Out of state Private, specialized and liberal arts colleges and universities The Common Application Supplemental submissions and applications Letters of Recommendation TESTING: SAT / ACT: final testing dates Testing optional schools Preparation for final testing options THE PERSONAL STATEMENT: Guidelines to getting students started FINANCIAL AID RESOURCES: Overview and timelines |
