- 2. Click "File" & "New"
- 3. Select Mode
- Outline Mode
- Type in the main idea
- Use "Add Topic" to add an idea that is an idea that is equal in value
- Use "Add Sub" to add an idea that is subordinate in value
- Use "Add Note" to append a note that is not part of the presentation
- Use "Left" to promote a value
- Use "Right" to demote (subordinate) a value
- Use "Diagram" to switch to diagram mode
- Use "Prefix" to change outline styles
- Diagram mode
- Type in the main idea
- Use the "Create" next to the "add note" to add an idea
- Use the "Create" next to the "position" to add with a link
- Use "Link" to connect ideas
- Use "Position" to change the placement of a cell
- Use "Arrange" to let the program change the placement
- Use "Outline" to view the file in outline mode
- Use "Symbol" to create another equal cell
- Use "Rapid Fire" to create a linked cell
- Use "New Look" to reset defaults for symbols and links
