El Segundo Unified School
District I have taught English for the past nine years at El Segundo High School. For six years I've been the English Dept Chair. I also advise the nationally awarded Bay Eagle newspaper. The newspaper exists in both the printed format as well as on the web. The nation's first high school CD-Zine was also developed under my direction. I have developed technology courses and lessons for students, teachers, and staff. The nationally acclaimed Illuminations CD-ROM received the National Pacemaker Award at the JEA/NSPA Spring 1999 conference.
I coordinated, planned, led, and taught Pepperdine University's Tech Camp and Virt Camp. These camps taught in-coming Educational Technology masters and doctoral students the technologies Pepperdine uses for their programs. I planned and taught El Segundo High School's teacher in-service in technology. I speak at conferences and in pre-service and in-service seminars for teachers on the topic of Educational Technology.
Fall 1997-present
I taught Koine Greek for five years and was an academic advisor for six years.
